Fresh Face Forward

It is finally here! After testing on myself and tweaking the recipe for you guys, I am happy to say I finally have a face wipe recipe worthy to be shared. The best part? It only takes a few simple ingredients.

I have found with almost all of the face wipes I have ever used they made my face sting, burn, and/or tingle. I thought, that’s just the price we pay... “beauty is pain”. News flash: IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE! Nor should it. Even the most “natural” ones I could find still weren’t doing my skin any good. So I set out on a mission. A mission that led to the discovery I could take care of my skin without chemicals that would actually be healthier for me (and the earth). ‘Cause don’t forget... when you’re nicer to your body you are also being nicer to the earth.

At this point you’re probably like okay enough blabbing, what’s the recipe?? So without any further adieu...

Facial Cleansing Wipes Recipe

What you will need:

  • Glass jar
  • Cotton rounds
  • 1 Tbsp. Witch Hazel
  • 1 Tbsp. Carrier Oil (I use coconut for my skin)
  • 1/2 Cup distilled water
  • 1/8 teaspoon Liquid Castile Soap
  • 12 drops of Essential Oils

In the jar, mix together all the liquid ingredients. I used 6 drops of Lavender oil and 6 drops of Frankincense. But depending on your skin type you can use Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood, Tea Tree, Grapefruit, or Orange. All of which are great for your skin and complexion in different ways. A note about the carrier oil, I go just shy of a Tablespoon but not enough to be considered a half, if that makes sense?

Once I have added everything, I whisk them all together as much as possible, then slowly push the cotton rounds down into the fluid filling up the jar. When you’re done screw the lid on and store upside down to make sure those top wipes are getting nice and wet too!

Let me know how this works for you and if you have any questions about the recipe! Also, if you need help with which carrier oils to use or which essential oils you should be using for your skin, let me know! I love to answer, educate, and empower.

All the best,

Kels
