My Green Smoothie Recipe

In honor of celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, I thought I’d share with you my green smoothie recipe. We must stay on theme, right? SO- I’ll just cut to the chase, I don’t really measure my smoothie but instead just kinda throw the things in until there’s no room left in the bullet blender! Somehow it all kinda just works out so I’m hoping it will for you too. This smoothie is sweet and delicious and (in my opinion) puts all other green things to shame. Why? Because I mixed in a bunch of sweet stuff so you don’t even really taste the healthy stuff. Genius, right? Who knows... but it’s quick, it’s easy, it’s tasty and it’s not PopTarts, so I consider it a win. Once I make it I like to put it in the fridge while I get ready for my day so that way it’s perfect when I toss my reusable straw in there and walk out the door! First I toss in...


 •1 Container of Silk Almondmilk Vanilla yogurt

•1 Banana

•Handful of Spinach (packs in a lot of nutrients and the taste is easily masked!)

•Large spoonful of Earth Balance’s Peanut Butter with Flax seed

•1 Cup (?) Unsweetened original Almond milk (or nut milk of your liking)  

• Dash of sweetener (whatever that looks like to you, could be maple syrup, honey, in my case I used about 1/4 Cup of Kalifia’s almond and coconut creamer)

Blend it all together and voila! A magical green lil smoothie that has all the good things your body could possibly want to start your day. If that isn’t some serious treasure at the end of your sleep-rainbow, I don’t know what is.
